Nobody can teach me who I am HNT

Ok, so July was a blur of activity. I had such wonderful adventures, it's difficult to express it all here. My visit with my brother the genius was AMAZING! We had wonderful conversation, and managed to see the CN Tower AND the Hockey Hall of Fame over and above just taking the bus, walking and subway travel around town. Those three days went by like a flash of lightening and I wish I'd had more time as grateful as I was for what I had. Sunshine and I really enjoyed our weekend get-away. Thought I would show her off for you all here.

On the Saturday night, there was a latin festival going on near my brother's place. Sunshine and I decided to walk up and check it out, however, we got there a little too late and missed all the music and dancing. We walked along, people watching as we went. Sunshine and I were walking in the direction of the festival while people were leaving. On our way, a group of women passed us and one turned, looked me up and down and said "ahhh preencess!"...highlight of the walk, I swear.

We spotted a group of ladies further up who were wearing these awesome cool feathery costumes. One of them had gorgeous white wings and I cursed the time wasted on a couple of extra rum drinks. Alas, we saw a stray dancer lady and decided to cross to the other side of the street and try to get pictures. There was a man carrying a great set of wings as well, surely part of the missed presentation. We ran for it to catch up and snap some pictures. Quite a scene of giggly girls.

For the actual day of my birthday, we did the sight seeing thing. I wore my tiara out all day *ahem...and also on the plane ride home* because it's just so much fun to be a princess! We had picked up a fabulous gluten free birthday cake the day before and I was sooo looking forward to having some before we left for home. I'm skipping those photos as the cake has stuff written on it that I do not wish to share here. Rest assured, it was a lovely cake. As you can see, I've posted a picture of my brother and I while we were out. Here's hoping he doesn't object to my posting this today. I'm assuming he will never find it honestly, since it's my private spot and all.

I feel like I had about a million more things to say here, however, I began the post last evening and am trying to finish up before DB arrives. We're going to a movie, then my friend Red is supposed to come by later also. Busy, busy! These pictures were taken near the Hockey Hall of Fame. There was an art exhibit of words and black and white images in that large corridor. They were all quite interesting, and there was a smattering of familiar names and faces. So cool! I'm going to make some blog rounds tomorrow evening after work as I will have a few hours all alone. Until then, please enjoy the clickies!

I'm happy you had a great time.

"Nobody can teach me who I am" is a great line. Though, through other people, they can bring out certain things and make us realize parts of us we never realized existed.

You look great, as always. :) <3
